Have you wondered how to explore the accordion as a blues or jazz instrument?

This workshop presents an opportunity for inexperienced to advanced players to explore the Blues as the foundational root of Jazz. Gary will present topics including history, stylistic developments, and technical elements as applied to the accordion.

The workshop encourages discussion and allows opportunities for participants to explore the genre on their instrument.

From accordion virtuoso with the Ukrainian Folk Dance Orchestra to a versatile pianist and composer, Gary's musical journey spans decades, fusing classical, jazz, and Ukrainian traditions.
Gary will delve into the blues' foundational role in jazz, its evolution into diverse styles, and applying its historical and technical aspects to the accordion.
